Wedding photographer and videographer from Leipzig
I was already taking photos as a kid – and, of course, dreaming of the greatest camera gear. Back then the quality of the pictures didn't matter much. What counted was a curiosity about life and an irrepressible urge not just to see events, things and people, but to capture them. People above all. That urge has never left me.
For over ten years I've been accompanying weddings as a photographer and as a videographer – more than 250 couples in Leipzig, across Germany and abroad. I don't search, I find. I couldn't imagine a better job.
Why weddings, of all things?
Sometimes I ask myself that. But the moment I'm at a wedding again, I feel it straight away:
Real people.The whole range of emotions.Pure cinema.
Even after countless weddings, every single one is unique: real life at its most beautiful. That's exactly what I want to capture, in my photos and in my films.
How I work
In the background
I photograph and film discreetly from the background, yet I'm present every single minute. So you can live your day instead of posing for the camera.
Real
No staged poses, no forced emotions. What you see later is exactly what happened.
With a pinch of humour
Calm, respectful and friendly – with you and with your guests. And always with a pinch of humour.
When I'm not at a wedding
… I'm first and foremost a dad of two. They're the ones who made me truly understand how precious memories are that move and speak – one of the reasons I don't just take photos today, but make films too.
Music.
Music means a lot to me – so every now and then I'm behind the decks at night, DJing. Up there I need the same feel for the right moment as at a wedding.
Italy.
And then there's Italy. I love the country and everything Italian – and I'm thrilled every time a wedding takes me there.
