Wedding photos and wedding video from a single source

I'm Alexander, a wedding photographer and videographer from Leipzig. For over ten years I've been accompanying couples on their wedding day – at more than 250 weddings in Leipzig, all over Germany and abroad. Some want photos, some want a film – and many want both.

If you book photos and video together, I come as a team and bring a second person along, so the photos and the film are created at the same time. I'm still your single point of contact: one planning call, one coordinated schedule, and photos and film with the same signature that tell the story of your day together. As a package, you also get both for less than booking them separately. And on the day itself, we stay in the background – close enough never to miss a moment.

How I work

“… missed absolutely nothing, and we almost didn't notice you were there.”
Sophie & Chris

In the background

I don't stage a day that isn't yours. I move quietly among your guests, watch, and I'm there when something happens: your mother's look during the vows, the laughter at the table, the hug that follows. That's how you get pictures in which you recognise yourselves.

One day, two views

If you book photos and film, there are two cameras, but one plan. We agree on who stands where, so photo and film never get in each other's way and no moment gets lost. Afterwards, the pictures and the film tell the same story, just in two ways.

Memories you can hear again

A photo shows how you looked at each other. The film keeps how it sounded: the trembling voice during the vows, your maid of honour's speech, your guests' laughter. Years later, it's exactly these sounds that take you right back into your day.

Your day

From the first coffee in the morning to the last dance: this is how I accompany you, with my camera and, if you like, on film.

  1. 1

    Before the wedding

We get to know each other in a first conversation and plan the schedule of your day together. I'll tell you when the light is most beautiful and how much time to set aside for group photos. If you like, a get-to-know shoot helps you get used to the camera beforehand.

  2. Maid of honour helping the bride into her dress
    2

    Getting ready

The hours before the ceremony are often the most honest of the day: excitement, final touches, the maid of honour at the dress. I hold back and photograph what happens, without staging anything. On film, you already hear the first voices and laughs here.

  3. Bride reading her wedding vows
    3

    Ceremony

The I do, the tremble in a voice, the tears in the front row. During the ceremony I stay quiet and out of the way. With the Story Film Plus, you also get your full ceremony, every word kept.

  4. Moved wedding guest congratulating the bride
    4

    Congratulations

After the ceremony, everyone wants to hug you. Some of the most moving pictures of the day happen here, often in your guests' faces. Then I take the group photos quickly, so you're back with your guests in no time.

  5. Bride and groom laughing on a lakeshore in backlight
    5

    Couple shoot

During the couple shoot I give you guidance, so you feel confident in front of the camera. Just as important to me is that you interact freely: you talk, laugh, get close, and I capture the honest moments in between.

  6. The couple’s first dance in warm light
    6

    Celebration

Speeches, cake, the first dance and a full dance floor. In the evening it gets louder and wilder, and that's exactly what the pictures should show. On film, all speeches can be kept in full length.

  7. 7

    After the wedding

In the week after your wedding, you get a sneak peek with the first pictures. All photos follow after about four weeks in an online gallery, your film after six to eight weeks. I keep your photos and the raw footage for at least ten years.

Frequently asked questions

Your question isn't here? Write to me and I'll get back to you.

Is our wedding date still available?

Send me your date and venue through the contact form and I'll get back to you. Saturdays between May and September are often booked 12 to 18 months in advance, so it pays to ask early. For a Friday, a civil ceremony on a weekday or an autumn wedding, short notice often works too.

How does booking work?

After your enquiry, we get to know each other in a first conversation. You tell me about yourselves and your day, I answer your questions, and you receive an offer that fits what you have in mind. If everything feels right, you get a contract and your date is reserved for you. About a week before the wedding, we go through the schedule once more.

How many hours should we book?

For full coverage from getting ready to the first dance, I recommend 8 hours. For a civil ceremony with a reception and a short couple shoot, 3 hours are usually enough. I always film your wedding video for the whole day, because a film should tell the whole story of your day.

How much does a wedding photographer in Leipzig cost?

For full-day coverage, wedding photographers in Leipzig charge roughly between €1,400 and €3,200, and between €400 and €950 for a civil ceremony. What drives the price and what to look out for when comparing, I explain in my guide.

Every wedding is different, so you get your personal offer after we've talked about your day. Just write to me through the contact form.

How many photos do we get, and when?

Full-day coverage comes with more than 400 edited photos, a civil ceremony with around 180. I select and edit every photo individually. After about four weeks, you get all photos in an online gallery you can share with your guests.

When do we get our wedding film?

You get your film after six to eight weeks. The Story Film tells your day in about 8 to 10 minutes. With the Story Film Plus, you also get your ceremony and all speeches in full length.

Can we book photos and video together?

Yes, and many couples do. I then come as a team and bring a second person along, so photos and film are created at the same time. I stay your single point of contact: one planning call, one coordinated schedule, and photos and film with the same signature. With the Full Day package, you get both for less than booking them separately.

What happens if it rains?

Then we shoot anyway. Rain, umbrellas and the soft light of a grey day often make for very atmospheric pictures. In our planning call, we look at where your venue has covered spots for the group photos and the couple shoot. If you'd like your couple shoot in sunshine, you can also add one on another day.

Do you also work outside Leipzig?

Yes. I'm based in Markkleeberg; travel within 50 km of Leipzig is included, beyond that by arrangement. I accompany weddings all over Saxony and central Germany, across Germany and abroad.

For example, I regularly work as a wedding photographer in Dresden.

I'm also happy to film your wedding video in Dresden.

Do you also offer get-to-know and couple shoots?

Yes. A get-to-know shoot before the wedding is a nice way to get used to the camera and to me, so you'll feel much more relaxed on the day itself. I also do couple shoots independently of a wedding, for example for an anniversary.
